Ed Sheeran reveals plans to quit music

ED SHEERAN has revealed his plans to quit music - and it might not be that far away.

The 26-year-old singer, who announced over the weekend that he had become engaged to his long-term girlfriend Cherry Seaborn, admitted that he'll be stopping once they start having kids in order to be a "good father," reports The Sun.

The star, who previously said he wanted kids before he turns 30, told the Daily Star: "My ambition is going to go to zero as soon as I have kids."

"I am going to be like, 'I do not really care anymore as I have another life to take care of."

"It is totally understandable because you have children and your ambition shifts to be like, 'I want to be a good father.'"

Ed has made no secret of being broody in the past, and in 2016 he said he wanted to be a dad "like, last year."

Speaking to Zane Lowe, he shared: "I'm ready, let's go - tour bus babies, little fat, chubby babies that just walk around."

And discussing his time line, he told OK! Magazine on another occasion: "I think the wheels should be in motion by the time I'm 30."

"But it's not really up to me."

"It's a two-way street. It has to be up to the partner as well."

Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx
