Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today showcased the plan for 'Nagpur Mumbai Samruddhi Corridor' project at a meeting in Davos. Fadnavis was speaking at a meeting on 'Industrial corridors in India-demand led planning and financing' organised by the CII. The Chief Minister presented the plan for Nagpur-Mumbai Maharashtra Samruddhi Corridor and its benefits for entire state,especially for farmers as this prosperity corridor will have agricultural nodes for 24 districts for supply chain,cold storage with focus on agriculture processing, an official statement issued here said. "This end to end well-planned corridor will be largest in India, port connectivity will be leveraged too.
Work for this Rs 34,000 crore project will start from March2018 and will be completed in three years. I am confident that government will get 85 per cent of the land by way of direct purchase by next month," Fadnavis said. Fadnavis also spoke on mobility projects in Mumbai and said Mumbai will be the first city by 2022 where all means of transport will run with integrated approach.
