The Monster Hunter World release looks set to be one of the early success stories of 2018, based on beta feedback and early reviews.

And fans don’t have much longer to wait for the full game to go live.

Friday, January 26 is penciled as the release date for Monster Hunter World on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

But until then, there have been a few spoilers released for those interested in seeing what the game will be like.

Monster Hunter World on PS4 will include a long list of Trophies to earn, which have been uncovered early by fans.

These achievements come with descriptions, giving an early indication on what will be included.

A total of 50 Trophies - 1 Platinum, 2 Gold, 11 Silver and 36 Bronze - have been found as part of the new Monster Hunter title.

As you might imagine, these new Trophies come with a large spoiler alert and can be found at the bottom of the article.

For those interested in getting going on their new adventure as quickly as possible, Microsoft have you covered.

Monster Hunter World on Xbox One is now available to pre-load in many regions, meaning you can have nearly everything ready for launch day.

This options is available to those who digitally pre-ordered the game and weighs in at around 13.6 GB for total install on consoles.

However, while this will save a lot of time on launch day, Capcom have also confirmed that a day one patch will be required too.

This will take up around 815MB in space and includes some very important features, including:

  • Multiplayer, event quests, chat functionality, and other online features
  • Now able to claim content via the Housekeeper in your room
  • Gallery Mode added to the title menu. The gallery allows you to view all of the cutscenes you have watched so far in the game. The player character that appears in the cutscenes will vary depending on which save data you have loaded.

This new update will also add the infamous Monster Hunter pet pig, which has been featured in every game in the series.

“Once you have made enough progress in the story, a Poogie will appear in the tradeyard in Astera,” Capcom explains.

“Get the Poogie to warm up to you by petting it in just the right way! Once it's friendly with you, pick it up and carry it to different places throughout Astera... and you might just be rewarded for your kindness.”

The upcoming action game is also being optimised for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. This includes HDR support, improved frame rates and resolutions.

Express Online spoke to Monster Hunter World producer Ryozo Tsujimoto to see when the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X Enhanced updates will be released.

"Some data is a day one patch that you can download," Tsujimoto explained. "But once you’ve got that on the first day of release, you’ll be able to enjoy enhanced graphics and performance modes for Playstation 4 Pro and Xbox One X."

Xbox One X and PS4 Pro users will be able to play the optimised version of Monster Hunter World on day one. Fans will be able to choose from different modes that enhance the performance, resolution or graphics.

As an added bonus, Sony has also revealed a Monster Hunter World-themed PS4 Pro console bundle, complete with a custom controller and copy of the game.
