GLASFORD — Lewistown's 3-point barrage was too much for Illini Bluffs to handle on Monday night.
Junior post Hannah Burdess knocked down a trio of treys, which were the first of 11 3-pointers for Lewistown in a 71-41 girls basketball win over the host Tigers.
Burdess scored a game-high 20 and was tied with teammate Baylee Mayberry with four 3-pointers in the game. Mayberry finished with 18 points for the Indians (22-4), who are ranked fifth in Class 1A.
Lewistown shined defensively, forcing 23 turnovers and held the Tigers to 15-of-57 (26.3 percent) shooting for the game.
Illini Bluffs (18-8) sophomore post Hannah Alvey was 6-for-10 with a team-high 14 points. Freshman Emma Hicks registered a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
