Kyle Edmund saw off Grigor Dimitrov in a gruelling four-set quarter-final at the Australian Open.
The 23-year-old is now only the sixth British man to reach the final four at a major in the Open era.
The world No 49, whose ranking will undoubtedly sky-rocket once the tournament finishes this weekend, proved he can mix it with tennis’ biggest stars on the main stage at a Grand Slam.
He had previously not progressed past the second round at the Australian Open throughout his career but Edmund has now exceeded all expectations.
He went into the match against Dimitrov as huge underdog and understandably with the Bulgarian third favourite to win the tournament after Novak Djokovic’s defeat yesterday.

Where's he from?
Well, he plays tennis for Britain but is another 'adopted brit' of the sporting world.
He was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, but moved to the UK when he was just three years old.
He grew up in Tickton near Beverley, East Yorkshire.
What's his tennis ranking?
He is currently ranked at 49 in the world on the ATP tour but is likely to jump a lot higher after beating Dimitrov in the Australian Open quarter-final.
How far has he been in Grand Slams before?
This is now the deepest he's gone in any slam, with his previous best in Australia just the second round.
He has been to the fourth round of the US, the third in the French and just the second at Wimbledon.
And he has yet to win a title on tour.
