Another train strike looming!

The Locomotive Operating Engineers' Union says they would launch a strike from midnight today (Jan. 23).

They say the authorities have delayed service extensions of contracted locomotive operators and continue to delay new recruitments.

Those are among the four demands put forward by the union.

The secretary of the union, Indika Dodamgoda said they would resort to an indefinite strike if their issues are not sorted out by the authorities.
