RETURN: Dermot O’Leary will once again host the 23rd NTAs

From jaw-dropping storylines, outrageous reality show moments, outstanding acting performances or a drama series that got everyone talking – all will be honoured at tonight’s National Television Awards. Here is bring you everything you need to know about the NTAs.

What will happen

Dermot O’Leary will once again return to host the 23rd NTAs, which is broadcast live from London’s O2 Arena.

Hot favourites to win include Ant and Dec, who are aiming to take Best TV Presenter for a record 17th time, as well as nods for I’m A Celebrity and their Saturday Night Takeaway show.

Can David Walliams triumph against Simon Cowell to be named best judge?

The cast of Love Island will be there in the hope of winning Best Challenge Show – so expect sexy outfits, outrageous behaviour and plenty of banter!

The most exciting tussle comes in the drama category. How to choose between David Tennant, Jenna Coleman, Sheridan Smith, Suranne Jones and Tom Hardy?

The late Sir Bruce Forsyth is also being honoured with the former Entertainment Show category celebrating the best in prime-time TV renamed as the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award.

Another new category is Crime Drama, where Broadchurch, Line Of Duty, Little Boy Blue and Sherlock do battle.

FANS' FAVE: Georgia “Toff” Toffolo is on the guest list

Anyone who is anyone will be at the 02 for the year’s biggest knees-up.

That’s pretty much all the nominees including Holly and Phil, the casts of all the major soaps, heavyweights Sheridan Smith and Suranne Jones, and Strictly’s judge Shirley Ballas.

Other favourites on the list include Jungle champ Georgia “Toff” Toffolo, Vicky Pattison and Caroline Flack. Plus, after an unexpected win for Best Drama last year, the whole cast of Casualty are upping sticks from their Cardiff set to attend the ceremony en masse.

You still have until noon today to vote online at nationaltvawards.com.

Fans were able to buy £22 tickets to attend the glitzy event. But you can also watch live at 7.30pm on ITV.

Love Island pals Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay are hosting the red carpet with Now TV and @OfficialNTAs.

And Georgia Toffolo will be backstage with all the gossip.
