Another day of dense fog patches in Toronto and parts of the GTA could snarl traffic during rush hour.

Environment Canada issued a statement early Tuesday morning that warned of “near-zero” visibility thanks to gathering fog. It warned drivers to go slowly and be prepared to stop often.

The fog is expected to lift later this morning, according to the statement.

Environment Canada’s statement applied to Toronto, Halton-Peel, and Dufferin-Innisfil.

Commuters in Toronto on Monday also saw patches of dense fog which lingered into late morning.
