
Lady Tigers take down Arkansas-Pine Bluff

Joyce Kennerson, Texas Southern's leading scorer on the season, struggled with her shot on Monday. But the 5-5 junior guard still managed to score 18 points to help the Lady Tigers hold off Arkansas-Pine Bluff 58-52 on Monday at the H&PE Arena.
Kennerson, who was 3 of 19 from the field and 10 of 18 from the foul line, contributed six rebounds and four assists in TSU's fourth straight win. Kaitlyn Palmer also scored 18 points for TSU (10-8, 5-2 in the SWAC), which led 17-9 after the first quarter and 27-19 at the half.
Destiny Brewton and Faith Ohanta scored 11 points each for the Lady Lions (3-14, 1-6). UAPB got 10 points and nine rebounds from Shawntayla Harris.
