I manage to lift myself off the sofa occasionally

My colleague can squat (it's an exercise or something) three of me, that's strong, but he's not on here. I doubt he even rides a bike.
He'd fit right in...

Really obese folk must be pretty strong. Some carry around 10-20 stone + around with them everywhere they go.I realise they don't do as much exercise as many but tbh I am pretty sure I couldn't even walk to the corner shop carrrying 10 stone and I couldn't even lift 20.

Not as strong as I used to be but I'm still able to lift anything I need to.
Washing machines/3 seater sofas... That type of thing (dreams back of a time where I could invert squat 800kg)
Nick.. Thats true. Being obese myself, walking any distance ie 2 miles or more is a struggle but riding 10-20 miles is fine, abeit slower than you guys.

what about those that carry 22 stone around all day, and cycle every day.

Who is the strongest
Depends how you define it.

Not relative to their bodyweight. They might develop stronger lower bodies, legs in particular but not in a useable or sustainable way. They might be able to move 20stone out of bed, or up from a seated position but how many full bodyweight squats or pistol squats can they do.

I have the most terrible feeling a couple of people might have taken the thread title seriously

Strength of mind?
Against disease and infection?
The power of merciless bants?
Or plain old lifting stuff up?Posted 2 hours ago # -
You know those plastic stackable garden chairs? I once carried twenty of those. Twenty.

So strong I posted it twice. Twice.

How many?

Twenty. Two zero - twenty. In one go!

Swoon.

I tried lifting a car once as a kid (I’d seen it on the telly) - it didn’t end well. I put that incident as a ten yr old down to my constant back problems!

For strength to weight ratio I've got be in with a chance - I'm currently a mere 10 stones, but can carry a week's shopping in one hand*
Mind you, I don't eat much.
*the right hand - my left arm is pathetically weak.

Try using the computer with your right hand to give the left more "strengthening exercises"
