Smyrna High School students, staff support service dog program

Smyrna High School students, staff and spectators conducted a 50/50 raffle in support of the service dog program of Kent County Chapter 850, Vietnam Veterans of America, with a donation of $126.

The check was presented Jan. 16 during a home game of the girls' varsity basketball game against Appoquinimink High School. The chapter has taken on a continuing project of funding training of service dogs for disabled veterans with a documented need for them.
