Mumbai: Fuel prices have once again started started pinching consumers, with Mumbai bearing the maximum brunt of the rise in global oil prices and the persistence of a high taxation regime on petroleum products. The price of petrol in Mumbai has been increased to ₹80.10 a litre, and that of diesel to ₹67.10 with effect from Monday. The last time fuel prices crossed these levels was in August 2014. Petrol and diesel prices in Mumbai are the highest among all metros.
