Mumbai: Gaurika Bishnoi, the No. 1 golfer on the Hero Women s Professional Tour in 2017, will return to action for the first time in 2018 as she tees up for the second leg of the 2018 Hero WPGT tomorrow.

Gaurika, who had an extremely successful 2017 season with one win, five seconds and another three third places in 15 starts, missed the first leg.

Interestingly, the winner of the opening leg, Vani Kapoor will be missing from the line-up for the second leg at the BPGC in Mumbai.

Also back in the line-up for the event is Sharmila Nicollet, who is hoping to make a mark this year after having setbacks on account of injuries over the past couple of seasons.

The other names to watch out for at the BPGC will be Amandeep Drall, who was second in the Order of Merit in 2017, Smriti Mehra, Gursimar Badwal, Neha Tripathi, Saaniya Sharma, Afshan Fatima and Tvesa Malik among others.

The 2017 season saw no less than seven winners from the 16 legs. The most successful was Vani Kapoor with four wins in six starts, while Neha Tripathi won three times. Three golfers, Amandeep Drall, Gursimar Badwal and Tvesa Malik won two times each.

On Tuesday, Gaurika Bishnoi will be going out with Ayesha Kapur and Millie Saroha in the second group, while Tavleen Batra and Anisha Padukone will be the first to tee off in a two ball.

Afshan, Saaniya and Gursimar will play together in the third group, while Mehar Atwal, seasoned Vandana Agarwal and Suchitra Ramesh will be the next and they will be followed by Amandeep Drall, Neha Tripathi and Trisha Sunil.

Siddhi Kapoor, Hita Prakash and Sharmila Nicollet will be in the second to last group and the final grouping will feature, Sonam Chugh, Smriti Mehra and Tvesa Malik.
