The Findlay Flag City Corvette Club has presented a check for $18,000 to Open Arms Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Services.
The money comes mainly from sponsors, pit stops and participants of the club’s Car Tunes on Main event. This is a record amount for the club.
Officers are: Tom Weber, president; Mike Smith, vice president; Leigh Ann Web, treasurer; Becky Weber, secretary; Don Seibert, competition director; Tom and Cheryl Cooper, restaurant of the month planners; Butch Brown, Wave page editor; and Peg Holden, who is in charge of the monthly 50/50 drawing.
Monthly business meetings are held the second Sunday of each month, and members visit various restaurants the third Wednesday of the month. Also, needed supplies for Open Arms are donated by members at every other monthly meeting.
Anyone who owns a corvette is welcome to join the club. For more information, contact club sponsor LaRiche Chevrolet and Cadillac.
