A collapsed corn silo in Clark County, Ohio brought down power lines and caused a road closure expected to last days.
State Route 571 at Scarff Road near New Carlisle, Ohio is closed after the silo collapsed Sunday night, according to WTDN-TV.
Authorities told WHIO-TV it will take several days to remove the 10,000 tons of corn that spilled from the silo and knocked down several utility poles, knocking out power to 300 customers.
Authorities did not know the cause of the collapse as of Monday afternoon.
The Ohio Department of Transportation estimated the road would be reopened by Wednesday and suggested motorists use State Route 201 to US 40 to State Route 235 to avoid the mess.
