MAHOPAC - Authorities are offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to arrests of two ATV riders believed to have damaged greens at Putnam County Golf Course.

The golf course, on Hill Street, caught on camera images of the ATVs being driven on the property, according to Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell's office. The riders were on red ATVs.

ATVs were on the golf course on Dec. 30 and three days this month.

"The Putnam County Golf Course has been a premier destination in the Hudson Valley with its lush greens at public prices," Odell said. "We cannot allow individuals to misuse the golf course at the expense of the taxpayers."
