Car crashes through window of Dollar General store in Knoxville

A car crashed through a plate-glass window of a Dollar General store in Knoxville on Monday.

No injuries were reported after the car crashed into the store at 5725 Western Ave. about 1:10 p.m.

The Knoxville Fire Department tweeted a video of the car, a Toyota Avalon, being removed from the store.

An elderly lady was driving the car, according to KFD Capt. D.J. Corcoran.

Further details, such as the driver's name and whether she could face charges, were not immediately available.
