Police: Peoria shooting victim's injuries not life-threatening

PEORIA — A male was found shot Sunday night on the East Bluff, but his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, police said.

Officers were called at 8:29 to a shooting in the area of West MacQueen Avenue and Broadway Street, according to Peoria police spokeswoman Amy Dotson.

The victim was a male whose injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, she said. Information including his age and where he was taken and possible suspects was not immediately available.

Police appeared to be focusing their investigation around a house in the 900 block of West MacQueen, but officers had left the area before 9:30 pm.

A small number of onlookers was present as police investigated. Dotson said more information is expected to be released Monday.
