Woman belligerent to police as kids watch

She was arrested

A woman who was belligerent to police during a rant and eventually was arrested and pepper-sprayed had her three children in a vehicle who witnessed her behavior Saturday night.
Monroe police went to Blossom Lane around 10:45 p.m. on a report of an accident. Officers found the suspect, a 32-year-old Ypsilanti woman, inside the vehicle that was partially in the roadway. Reports said the woman immediately began yelling at the officer and refused to cooperate.
Reports said the officer could smell alcohol on the woman who repeatedly refused to give her name. She continued her tirade until she was taken into custody and arrested. Inside the squad car the woman violently kicked the door at least 10 times, police said. At that point, the officer put some pepper on his hand and administered it to the unruly woman’s face. Her behavior then changed until she got to jail where, police said, the belligerence continued.
