Saratoga is the third Suburban Council squad this season to occupy the top slot in the Times Union boys' basketball rankings.

Colonie opened the season at No. 1 and was replaced by Shenendehowa, which held the position until this week. The Plainsmen dropped a 42-38 home decision against Colonie on Friday night.

Since starting the season with losses against Westhill (60-50) and Christian Brothers Academy (60-58), Saratoga has reeled off 10 straight wins.

1. Saratoga (10-2, last week No. 2): The Blue Streaks built a 56-21 bulge through three quarters and cruised to a 69-44 decision over Bethlehem.

2. Shenendehowa (11-3, LW No. 1): The Plainsmen hit the road Friday for a Suburban Council contest at Columbia.

3. CBA (11-2, LW No. 3): Peter O'Toole paced a balanced effort for the Brothers with 13 points, helping generate a 54-31 victory at Mohonasen.

4. Colonie (10-3, LW No. 4): The Garnet Raiders will look to secure a fifth straight win Friday when they take on Shaker.

5. Shaker (9-3, LW No. 5): Sloan Seymour netted a game-high 24 points as the Blue Bison bested Columbia 73-68.

Class A

1. Albany Academy (6-5, LW No. 1): The Cadets, looking to rebound from a 52-23 loss Sunday against Iona Prep at the Empire Invitational, travel to meet Guilderland on Tuesday night.

2. Mohonasen (7-6, LW No. 2): Up next for the Mighty Warriors is a Suburban Council road game Friday at Schenectady.

3. Amsterdam (7-3, LW No. 4): Willie Brown poured in 33 points to lead the Rams past Johnstown 90-35 in Foothills Council play.

4. Lansingburgh (9-5, LW No. 5): Isaiah Knight tallied 20 points and Trevor Green added 14 points, leading the Knights past Cohoes 76-50.

5. Gloversville (9-4, LW No. 3): The Dragons had a seven-game winning streak snapped Friday with a 45-38 loss against Scotia.

Class B

1. Mekeel Christian Academy (12-1, LW No. 1): Jordan Jackson pumped in 25 points (five 3-pointers) and Carter Stewart contributed 23 points (six 3-pointers) in the Lions' 89-42 victory against Fonda.

2. Glens Falls (12-2, LW No. 3): Joseph Girard III scored 58 points (25-for-25 at the foul line) and added eight assists in a 104-65 win against Hudson Falls. The scoring output moved Girard into the No. 2 all-time spot in state scoring history with 2,854 points.

3. Schalmont (12-3, LW No. 4): The Sabres look to extend their winning streak to eight games Thursday with a road game at Bishop Gibbons.

4. Watervliet (10-4, LW No. 3): Joey Atkins scored 23 points and Messiah Mallory added 20 points, leading the Cannoneers to a 72-58 triumph over Voorheesville.

5. Hudson (11-1, LW No. 5): The Bluehawks rallied from an 80-67 deficit with 1:25 remaining in the fourth quarter to produce a 93-91 overtime verdict over Albany.

1. Lake George (15-0, LW No. 1): Senior point guard Alex Jones matched his season-high with 25 points in a 70-44 victory against Hartford.

2. Hoosick Falls (8-4, LW No. 2): The Panthers produced their fifth straight win with a 69-48 decision over Stillwater.

3. Saratoga Central Catholic (12-2, LW No. 3): The Saints, a squad that lost senior captains Tyler Haraden and Ryan McFadden to season-ending injuries, plays host to Argyle on Wednesday night.

4. Granville (10-2, LW No. 4): Granville takes a break from Adirondack League action Tuesday to take on Schuylerville.

5. Schoharie (11-4, LW No. 5): Steve Alescio joined teammate Mitch Barton in the school's 1,000-point club by scoring 19 points in an 83-63 win against Middleburgh at SUNY Cobleskill.

Class D

1. OESJ (11-2, LW No. 1): The Wolves, ranked No. 15 in the state poll, registered a solid 70-45 victory Sunday over Herkimer.

2. Whitehall (11-3, LW No. 2): Evan St. Claire finished with a game-high 34 points as the Railroaders defeated Warrensburg 81-46.

3. Argyle (10-3, LW No. 3): Sophomore standout Peyton Lufkin delivered 39 points (seven 3-pointers) as the Scots recorded an 80-64 Adirondack League decision over Fort Edward.

4. Germantown (10-2, LW No. 4): The Clippers meet Hunter on Tuesday night at Columbia-Greene Community College.

5. Fort Ann (7-7, LW No. 5): Luke Loso led four players in double digits with 19 points, helping the Cardinals knock off Salem 67-41 in the Adirondack League.
