Coronation Street spoilers: Bethany Platt in violent showdown as character gets GLASSED

The teen, played by Coronation Street cast Lucy Fallon, is currently working as a lap dancer in night club Tassels.

Bethany has been dancing for weeks, but was recently caught out by boyfriend Craig Tinker (Colson Smith), when he came to investigate a crime at the club.

Things are set to turn even sourer when Bethany will attack a customer during a violent altercation.

A TV source said: "Bethany’s lap dancing career is set to come to an end when the strip club, Tassels, she works in gets closed down.

"Dramatic scenes will see her glass somebody in a shocking move that will cost her the job," they told The Sun Online.

Bethany decided to take up the controversial job in a bid to reassert her authority over men.

She was left traumatised last year after she was groomed into a sex ring which saw her raped by several older men.

Meanwhile, the teenager is set to be rumbled by her unsuspecting family when they pay a visit to the club.

She is set to get in another situation when her mum's ex-boyfriend Gary Windass follows her to the club and she tells the bouncers she has never seen him before.

Security quickly get rough with Gary and beat him up before chucking him out on the street.

Mikey North said at a press day: "Gary tries to resist a little bit which doesn’t help… the bouncer goes to town on him.

"He is really smashed up, he is badly, badly beaten up. It’s the last thing that he needs with everything else going on."
