CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A committee appointed by Republican Gov. Chris Sununu to help streamline New Hampshire's government is recommending passage of a wide-ranging regulatory reform bill.
Sununu appointed the Regulatory Reform Steering Committee last year. In a report released Monday, the group outlines recommendations on everything from professional licenses and building codes to foster home inspections and wetlands permits.
The recommendations are included in a bill that covers more than a dozen topic areas. The House Resources, Recreation and Development Committee is holding a public hearing on the bill Tuesday, but the steering committee says provisions may ultimately be split up and put into other pieces of legislation.
Sununu says the proposals are some of the most comprehensive regulatory reform issues the state has ever seen.
