LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Twenty-five-year-old Bobby Marice Wells found himself in jail Saturday afternoon, accused of battering the pregnant mother of his child, according to Lafayette police.
Police were called to 3048 Keyes Court about 3:05 p.m. Saturday with a report of a domestic fight, according to police.
The woman showed signs of being battered, but she refused treatment, police said.
Meanwhile, police arrested Wells, whose address is listed as 2014 Bridgewater Circle, apartment B, Lafayette. He faces preliminary charges of domestic battery against a pregnant woman, robbery and theft.
The robbery and theft allegations stem from reports that Wells took the woman's cellphone and apartment key after battering her, according to police.
He remained incarcerated at the Tippecanoe County Jail on Monday in lieu of bond, according to online jail records.
