It’s time for the sixth boys and girls Formidable 5 basketball rankings for Sheboygan County.

BOYS

1. Howards Grove (14-0, 10-0 Big East): A pair of dominating wins for the Tigers last week kept them unbeaten and atop the rankings. Howards Grove defeated Ozaukee 69-36 Tuesday before topping Reedsville by a nearly identical 68-36 margin. 

2. Sheboygan Lutheran (13-3, 9-1 Big East): The Crusaders kept cruising last week, crushing Mishicot 75-49 on Tuesday before a nail-biting 54-50 win over Menasha St. Mary.

3. Kohler (12-2, 8-1 Big East): Jumping up two spots to No. 3 are the Blue Bombers. Kohler picked up a 74-50 victory over Cedar Grove-Belgium on Tuesday and then got a major 77-63 win over Manitowoc Lutheran on Friday.

4. New Holstein (10-4, 6-2 Eastern Wisconsin Conference): Two straight losses by the Huskies drops them a spot. New Holstein was defeated 79-50 by Valders on Tuesday in a battle of then-EWC unbeatens before being knocked off by Roncalli 81-64 on Friday.

5. Plymouth (9-4, 4-2 East Central Conference): Also dropping a slot are the Panthers, who split their contests with a narrow 51-47 loss to Campbellsport on Tuesday before rebounding with a 67-40 win over Winneconne on Friday.

GIRLS

1. Plymouth (13-3, 7-1 ECC): It took overtime, but the Panthers defeated Waupun 52-43 on Thursday to hold on to the top spot in the rankings for a second consecutive week.

2. Oostburg (11-5, 9-2 Big East): The Flying Dutchmen take over the No. 2 spot from Sheboygan Falls after beating the Falcons 67-62 on Saturday. Oostburg also prevailed 58-36 over Sheboygan Lutheran on Thursday.

3. Sheboygan Falls (12-4, 6-2 EWC): The Falcons started the week with a pair of wins, 73-58 over Ozaukee on Tuesday and 49-42 over Chilton on Thursday. But they fell Saturday, 67-62 in a tight contest to Oostburg to drop a spot.

4. Random Lake (10-5, 8-3 Big East): Moving into the rankings are the Rams, who have won three straight and knocked off Howards Grove 38-26 on Thursday.

5. Kiel (10-6, 6-2 EWC): The Raiders snapped a two-game losing streak Thursday, beating Roncalli 47-31 in a conference tilt to move into the rankings for the first time.
