Pokemon Go developer Niantic is already teasing the next new Community Day event.

In a post on Twitter, Niantic told fans to bookmark the brand new Community Day page, which will be updated with event info.

"Get out and play together in your local community parks on Pokemon GO Community Day," reads a Niantic post.

"For just a few hours each month, you can encounter a special Pokemon in the wild.

"During these hours, there's a chance to learn a previously unavailable move for that Pokemon, as well as earn some Community Day bonuses.

"Celebrate what it means to be a part of the Pokemon GO community and make new friends along the way!"

The Pokemon Go Community Day page encourages fans to check back soon for information about the next event.

And speaking of Community Day, Niantic just held its first ever monthly event, complete with an increase in Shiny Pikachus.

As part of the event, fans will be able to capture a special Pikachu that knows a brand new move called Surf.

This is on top of 3-hour Lure modules and double XP for the duration of the event.

But as fans discovered, Community Day also gave fans a better chance of grabbing a Shiny Pikachu.

According to early reports, roughly 10% of all Pikachus were of the Shiny variety.

This bodes well for future Community Day events.

Pokemon Go just received a big new update, as Niantic teases the next batch of Gen 3 Pokemon.

Pokemon Go has been updated to version 0.89.1 on Android and 1.59.1 for iOS.

This includes various quality of life improvements and bug fixes, including the ability to sort Pokemon by region, scaling tweaks in AR mode, better incubator sorting and more.

The new update also comes with a brand new loading screen that may have revealed the next new Gen 3 Pokemon.

The new loading screen features a selection of Pokemon celebrating the start of 2018.

This includes previously unreleased Pokemon Loudred, suggests we'll be seeing the new Pocket Monster soon.
