New Delhi, Jan 22: In yet another shocking incident, a 30-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping into the Ganga river after blaming her in-laws for the extreme step in a video posted on social media. Divers took the woman to Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
The deceased identified as Jasleen Kaur a resident of Jaipur and was married to businessman Pavneet Singh Gandhi in 2012.
According to a report of Times of India, Kaur in the video alleged that her in-laws forced her to end life. However, her husband refuted the allegations and said that his wife took the step as she had failed to crack the CA exam.
Speaking to the daily, SP (West) Gaurav Grover said, “Jasleen Kaur, who was a native of Jaipur, ended her life by jumping into the Ganga. The family of the deceased has been informed and they are on their way to Kanpur”.
Further investigation in the case is underway.
