A city of Salem EMS Falk Paramedic Unit ambulance was traveling southbound on Commercial St. SE when it was hit by a Ford pickup traveling eastbound that failed to yield on Monday, according to Salem Police.
The ambulance was traveling with its lights flashing and sirens blaring at the time of the crash.
Two medical personnel were transported to the hospital as a precaution, said Salem Police Sgt. Ryan Demmer.
The driver of the pickup was cited for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. No injuries were reported.
The road was open to normal traffic around 1:30 p.m.

A car crash is blocking southbound traffic on Commercial St. SE at Kuebler Blvd. SE in Salem.
The collision occurred around 11:58 a.m. Monday, according to TripCheck.com.
Traffic cones are diverting traffic away from the scene.
Traffic is backed up starting at Madrona Ave. SE and lasts until just past Kuebler Blvd. SE.
Travelers can expect delays in the area until officials can clear the scene.
