A federation of Kannada organisations has decided to hold a huge protest in Bengaluru on February 4 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in the city, seeking his intervention in resolving the Mahadayi row.
Federation president Vatal Nagaraj told The Hindu on Sunday that a large number of farmers from north Karnataka would take part. He reiterated there would be a Statewide bandh on January 25. He said they were ready to withdraw the call for bandh and protest if Mr. Modi intervened by then.
