Instead of enjoying some me time away from Strictly Come Dancing: The Live Tour, Gemma and Gorka opted to go sightseeing together in Newcastle.

The Hollyoaks star took to Instagram to share a picture of the pair as they tucked into cake.

Many of the 33-year-old’s 532,000 followers were quick to suggest they looked very cosy and even urged them to “get a room”.

“Day off in Newcastle so decided to explore. Got as far as the first cake shop @gorka_marquez,” Gemma had captioned it.

Beaming at the camera, the blonde beauty looked chic in a grey jumper while wearing her tresses in a ponytail.

Keeping his yellow hat firmly on, Gorka, 27, kept things casual in a black top as they sat with hot drinks in front of them.

Their fans were quick to comment on the coupled-up upload, despite Gemma insisting they are just pals.

“Yes! This is happening. Can’t wait for the engagement,” one user replied, as another continued simply: “Goals.”

Others went on: “You two… too cute,” and: “Oh get a room you two,” after months of speculation about if they were romantically involved.

But, Gemma recently admitted she doesn’t care what other people are saying as she knows the truth.

“I don’t think anything of it,” she told the Daily Mirror, having been rarely seen without Gorka in recent weeks.

Gemma added: “I know what’s going on in my life so whatever everyone else wants to think I just let them think it because I know.”

Gemma and Gorka were seen looking very playful as they left rehearsals in Birmingham on Saturday.

The professional dancer was seen hiding his face with his sweatshirt while they could barely take their eyes off each other.

They were joined on tour by Debbie McGee, Alexandra Burke, Susan Calman, winner Joe McFadden, Jonnie Peacock and Davood Ghadami.

Host Ore Oduba also appears alongside judges Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli.
