Brian David Sendecki, 53, passed away, on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at Weems Memorial Hospital. He was the partner of Pansy McLaurin; they shared 12 happy, loving years together.

Born in Kearny, New Jersey, on Jan. 19, 1965, he was the son of Lorraine and Michael Paul Sendecki, of New Jersey. Brian came to Apalachicola in 2005 while working with the Small Business Administration, and made the area his home.

He was currently employed at Harry A’s, where he worked as a line cook and took immense pride in his work.

Brian enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, listening to good music and drinking cold beer. He will be remembered for his great conversations and his “shy, humble and reserved” personality. He was a gentleman to all he met and loved wholeheartedly.

He is survived by his mother, Lorraine Sendecki, of Barnegat, New Jersey; his uncle, William, and wife Susan Blair, of Knoxville, Maryland; his brother, Douglas Allen and wife Diane Sendecki, and his nephew, Miguel Sendecki, all of Barnegat, New Jersey; his loving partner, Pansy McLaurin, his children at heart, Tevis Page, Tana and husband Sterling Kendrick and grandchildren Taylen and Madden Kendrick, all of Apalachicola.

He was predeceased by his father, Michael Paul Sendecki.

A celebration of life, in his honor, will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please, go to the beach and cast a line to remember Brian.
