Barnala Club gets new outdoor complex

BARNALA: Taking its step ahead out of the sprawling club premises, the Barnala Club on Monday started the children park in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh park at Barnala and set u play stations and rides for the children in the park. The Barnala district administration too partnered into the setting up of the children park by providing the rides. Former MLA and Punjab Congress vice president Kewal Singh Dhillon accompanied by Barnala Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori inaugurated the children park.
Earlier Dhillon and Thori also inaugurated the new outdoor complex comprising big lawn, restaurant at the Barnala Club.
Dhillon taking up the demands for setting up senior citizen home in the Shaheed Bhaghat Singh park complex and transfer the park to local municipal council for its better upkeep, assured to raise the matter with Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. Presently the ownership of the ark complex is with Zila Parishad.
Dhillon said that the Congress government is committed for providing recreational facilities to the people of the state.
Earlier while inaugurating outer complex at Barnala Club, Dhillon said the Barnala Club has made a lot of progress in providing facilities to members. Only few days ago the new gym was added in the club. DC Ghanshyam Thori, who is also president of the Club, said that some other projects in the club are in the pipeline. Club General Secretary Dr. Pardeep Sharma said that Club is committed to provide high class facilities to its esteemed members. Barnala SSP Harjit singh, ADC Arvinderpal singh, SDM Sandeep Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Mankanwal Singh, SPs Shaanjit Singh, Sukhdev Singh Virk, District Congress president Makhan Sharma and all the members of club executive committee were present.
