Legendary actor Morgan Freeman took home the Life Achievement Award during Sunday's 24th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, accepting the heavy statuette from his longtime friend Rita Moreno. But after dutifully thanking his fellow actors and the members of his family who made the trek from South Carolina and Georgia for the ceremony, Freeman pointed out what he thought to be a flaw in the statuette awarded to actors.

"One more thing. I wasn't going to do this," he said, wiping his brow. "I'm going to tell you what's wrong with this statue: It works from the back; from the front, it's gender specific."

He concluded his short-but-sweet speech by expressing hope for change in the industry towards gender equality. "Maybe I started something," he said before gathering up his own award.

During his speech, Freeman also engaged in a little light banter with Moreno, who told him to lift up the hat he was wearing, essentially telling him to find his light. Freeman presented Moreno with the same award five years ago.
