A North Fort Myers woman who drove through a crime scene at a serious injury crash is in Lee County Jail on charges of DUI and possession of marijuana.

Cape Coral police officers on the scene of a serious injury crash near the 4400 block of Vincennes Boulevard had established a crime scene with overhead patrol car lights, cones, flares, and crime scene tape.

A car driven by Pamela J. Smith, 41, drove through the scene at a high rate of speed without slowing until officers, thinking a fellow officer was hit, yelled for the driver to stop.

She was arrested and was found to have a blood-alcohol level of .154. Smith was also found in possession of marijuana during a search incident to arrest.

She remains in Lee County Jail on $2,500 bond and will be arraigned Feb. 12.
