Khagen Das, CPI(M) veteran and chairman of the Left Front Committee of Tripura, died in Kolkata on Sunday.
Mr. Das, 81, died within minutes of his admission to a hospital for chest pain.
He was in Kolkata to attend the party’s central committee meeting. Mr. Das served as a Minister and member of the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha.
His body will be donated to the Agartala Government Medical College.
