Kukis have equal right and participation: Neiphiu Rio

Neiphiu Rio said that Kukis have equal right, equal participation to Naga history because they live in the Naga Hills regardless of being a minority among Nagas on January 17 at Molvum village. A press release by NPF 5 Ghaspani-II A/C press secretary, Thejangukho Yalietsu stated that Rio said this while speaking as chief guest during the golden jubilee of Mimkut Festival.
While lauding the role of early Kukis even in Naga political scenario, Rio noted that Lenjang Kuki, interpreter (DB), was the 18th signatory of the first Naga memorandum to The Simon Commission in 1929. In this regard, he opined that Kukis have equal right to Naga history.
