Over 600 students from schools across south India took part in InvoVIT – 2018, a two-day science festival at VIT.
According to a press release, children from Classes IX to XII from over 75 schools in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu participated in the marquee event that was inaugurated by K. Kalaiselvan, executive director of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited.
VIT’s vice-president G.V. Selvam was present.
Mr. Selvam said that the institution has been hosting the campus festival since 2011.
In his address, Mr. Kalaiselvan said students should develop an interest in science from a young age.
