MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agrarian Reform and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) are carrying out the “Convergence on Livelihood Assistance for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Project” to augment the income of farmers.
Agrarian Reform Secretary John Castriciones said the program will benefit 36,000 beneficiaries nationwide with its P186 million worth of resources, technical and management skills.
DSWD Secretary Emmanuel Leyco said farmers’ access to economic opportunities is expected to expand under a P1-billion allocation for the program.
The program will be implemented in May until December next year.
