BOYS BASKETBALL

The South Lamar boys basketball team defeated Sulligent, 77-68, at the Lamar County Tournament at South Lamar.

For South Lamar, Chase Gore had 21 points, Malachi Oglen had 19, Malik Cox had 16 and Alex Carter had 12.

For Sulligent, Tyreke Metcalfe had 23 points and Dashaun Sullivan had 15.

South Lamar (10-4) next hosts Berry High School at 4 p.m. Monday.

The All-Tournament Team is, from Lamar County High School, Mark Duncan; from Sulligent, Tyreke Metcalfe and Dashaun Sullivan; and from South Lamar, Chase Gore, Malik Cox and Malachi Oglen, who was also MVP of the tournament.
