82-year-old woman killed in crash on Highway 61

An 82-year-old woman was killed in a crash as she tried to pull onto Highway 61 in St. Charles County Saturday afternoon.

A crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Phyliss J. Heidselman was trying to turn from Route W onto Highway 61, but drove into the path of a second car.

Heidselman's 2011 Toyota Camry was hit on the driver's side by a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt. Heidselman was pronounced dead about 45 minutes after the crash.

The other driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
