Despite multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, James Franco attended Sunday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards. He's nominated for an acting award for his performance in "The Disaster Artist."

Five women have accused Franco of inappropriate sexual behavior in a report published by the Los Angeles Times. The women say he abused his power on set and as an acting teacher. Actress Sarah Tither-Kaplan said in a nude orgy scene, Franco removed plastic guards covering the actresses' groins while simulating oral sex.

Franco skipped last week's Critics' Choice Awards, where he won for best actor in a comedy.

When he attended the Golden Globes on Jan. 7, he wore a pin reading "Time's Up," in solidarity with the movement to condemn sexual assault and harassment. Nearly every actress in attendance wore black as part of a demonstration.

Since the allegations against Franco have been made public, he has been criticized for wearing the "Time's Up" pin while allegedly acting in ways that contradict its message. Scarlett Johansson went so far as to call him out in a speech at Saturday's Women's March in Los Angeles.

"How could a person publicly stand by an organization that helps to provide support for victims of sexual assault while privately preying on people who have no power?" she said as the crowd cheered.

"I want my pin back, by the way," Johansson then added.

A representative for the actress confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that "her comments were meant for and referring to Franco."

On the red carpet Sunday, E! host Giuliana Rancic asked "GLOW" actress Alison Brie about recent allegations of misconduct against her brother-in-law James Franco (Brie is married to actor Dave Franco).

"I think that above all what we've always said is it remains vital that anyone who remains victimized should have the right to speak out and come forward," Brie said, adding that in the case of James Franco, "Not everything that has come forward is fully accurate."

Brie said that she supports her family and that they are waiting to get all the information.

"Now is the time for listening and that's what we're trying to do," Brie said.

Franco has also called some of the accusations inaccurate.

Following in the tradition of this year's Golden Globes, the 2018 SAG Awards were especially focused on women. Kristen Bell was the awards show's first host. The broadcast kicked off with female actors explaining how they got into show business and most presenters were also women.
