Police are searching for the tractor-trailer involved in a hit-and-run accident that left a 60-year-old man dead off Interstate 295 on Sunday.

John Farino, of Cinnaminson, was killed after a tractor-trailer allegedly rear-ended his Dodge Caravan near milemarker 45.9 in Westampton TownshipNew Jersey State Police said.

At 5:12 a.m., troopers said they responded to a crash on I-295 and found Farino dead in his vehicle. The tractor-trailer was nowhere to be found.

Police said Farino, the driver of the Dodge Caravan, was driving northbound on I-295 when his car was struck from behind by the tractor trailer. As a result of the impact, the Dodge ran off the road, hit a tree and overturned.
