The most recent outburst of the current resident of the White House using the most vulgar, racist language to describe some of his fellow human beings whose skin happens not to be white cannot be condoned by any people who believe in the promise of the United States to be a beacon of hope to the world.
He has previously expressed vulgarities against women, Latin people and others and sanctioned and even praised white supremacists, and in his careless comments to the world community, he has done grave harm to the decades of hard work of former presidents, legislators and diplomats.
I call upon all people of good will to use whatever peaceful means at your disposal to condemn this president in the strongest terms. If Lady Liberty could cry, she would have shed many tears this past year. I imagine that now she would be sobbing.
