Mr. and Mrs. T. Roland Lide celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on Jan 20.

Roland and Millie, the former Mildred Coe, were married Jan. 20, 1946, at First Baptist Church in Columbia.

The couple have one daughter, Dianne L. Gregory; her husband, Phil Gregory; and grandchildren, Drs. Philip and Jennifer Gregory and Catherine Gregory.

A veteran of World War II, Roland retired as assistant treasurer of SCE&G after 38 years of service.

Millie retired as assistant personnel director with the South Carolina Department of Education after 30 years of service.

Both graduates of the University of South Carolina, they are avid Gamecock fans. They enjoy their First Baptist Church family and “Lide’s Pride” at Lake Murray.
