Tour Down Under wraps up with Daryl Impey on top as veteran Andre Greipel takes stage 6

South African cyclist Daryl Impey has won this year's Tour Down Under in South Australia after the final stage was taken out by veteran rider Andre Greipel, who also won the opening stage last Tuesday.
Greipel has notched 18 stage victories over the years he has competed in the event.
In stage 6, which was raced over 90 kilometres on a city-streets circuit in Adelaide, there was a crash during the final lap but none of the major contenders got caught up in the trouble.
Greipel just managed to hold off Caleb Ewan at the finish line.
"It wasn't an easy one. The team has done a great job to deliver me a winning position," Greipel said after his stage victory.
Impey said he was thrilled to be overall winner of the six-stage event.
"Thrilled… sometimes the stars line up and everything goes well and according to plan," he told Channel 9.
"I worked really hard in the off-season, so happy to get this win."
He dedicated his win to his wife and children for the sacrifices they made for his cycling career.
Logan Owen was part of a breakaway until he was finally caught by the peloton with more than two laps to go, and was named most combative rider of stage 6.
Nicholas Dlamini secured the King of the Mountain title and Peter Sagan, who finished third in the final stage, took the sprint title.
