Toms River businessman named foundation chairman
Jim Mahlmann, chief operating officer of NetCetra, Toms River, a full-service internet company, has been named chairman of the Ocean County Foundation for Vocational Technical Education. Mahlmann is an internet marketing and designer specialist, and a certified Google Partner. He is also a partner in a data center in Walla Walla, Washington. Mahlmann is a member of New Jersey Business Industry Association and chairman of its small business committee; a vice chairman of the technical committee of the Monmouth Ocean Development Council; and serves on the Ocean County College Business Advisory Board.
Shrewsbury builder helps lead national home-building trade group
Dean Mon, a Shrewsbury-based builder and developer with more than 30 years of experience in the home building industry, was elected as the 2018 second vice chairman of the National Association of Home Builders. Mon is president of the D.R. Mon Group Inc., which specializes in the development and construction of classic urban living projects throughout New Jersey.

British Swim School opens doors in Howell
British Swim School has opened and is located within LA Fitness at 90 Lanes Mill Road, Howell. The British Swim School is best known for its education of water safety as an essential survival skill. The annual membership fee will be waived for any members who sign up at the grand opening today, along with a raffle for four free swim lessons.
