Felony arrests

Elude — Gary Owen Moody, 31, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Moody Friday on a felony warrant charging him with attempting to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor warrants for reckless driving and driving while suspended, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of driving while suspended and second-degree theft. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Saturday on $26,500 bail.

Sex Offender Registration — Robert David Smith, 44, no known address. Medford police arrested Smith Friday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender, a misdemeanor count of second-degree disorderly conduct and on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of resisting arrest. He remained lodged in jail Saturday on $13,000 bail.

Drugs — Patrick Kinley Curnutte, 45, of the 2600 block of Dellwood Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Curnutte Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a sanction for violating his probation on a prior meth-possession conviction. He was lodged in jail Saturday without bail.

Elude — Jeremy Ryan Schelin, 31, of the 500 block of Effie Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Schelin Saturday on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, and misdemeanor counts of reckless driving and recklessly endangering another person. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $17,500 bail.

Assault — Steven Joel Gutcheon, 27, of the 700 block of Stevens Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Gutcheon Saturday on a felony count of fourth-degree assault and misdemeanor charges of harassment and strangulation. He was lodged in jail Saturday on $15,500 bail.

Theft — 4800 block of Helo Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen Pro Shot L4.7 laser level and attachment at 12:57 p.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $900.

Theft — 600 block of Medford Center, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 4:55 p.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included a gold makeup bag, miscellaneous gift cards, a wallet with a floral pattern and a black leather tri-fold wallet. The loss was valued at $810.
