Wright, of Lyons, Ga., at Dover Air Force Base, Del., Oct. 5, 2017. U.S. and Niger forces were leaving a meeting with tribal leaders when they were ambushed on Oct. 4 and Wright and three other soldiers were killed. There were about a dozen U.S. troops and a company of Niger forces, for a total of about 40 service members in the joint mission. (Pfc. Lane Hiser/U.S. Army via AP)

Letter writer says conservatives believe four dead soldiers in Niger aren’t important enough for even one congressional inquiry. Here, fellow soldiers carry remains of Staff Sgt. Dustin M. Wright.

“Lock her up!”, “If they claim the Fifth Amendment they are guilty!”, “Not answering questions implies guilt!”. And my favorite; “If you have nothing to hide, you’ll be happy to give up your privacy rights.”

These were conservatives favorite mantras during the Bush and Obama administrations, and the 2016 election. Now that their party is in the crosshairs of many investigations, they have conveniently forgotten their favorite philosophy on law and order. They have become lovers of dictators while degrading the top intelligence agencies and law enforcers in our country.

They also believe that four dead soldiers, one dismembered and mutilated, in Niger aren’t important enough for even one congressional inquiry — even though they conducted seven select committees on four dead Americans in Benghazi.

But conservatives haven’t had time to notice any hypocrisy in any of this. they are too busy playing their new game. It’s called Selective Alzheimer’s.
