Karim Ansarifard scored a goal in each half as defending champion Olympiakos easily beat visiting Xanthi 3-0 Sunday in the Greek league.

Ansarifard opened the scoring in the 26th with a penalty and added a header in the 57th off Diogo Figueiras' cross, before Costas Fortounis added a third in the 69th.

Xanthi played with 10 men for the last half-hour when Jorge Casado was shown his second yellow card in five minutes.

Olympiakos is a point ahead of PAOK — also a 3-0 winner over Apollon on Sunday — and three points ahead of AEK, which stumbled to a scoreless draw at Larissa on Saturday.
