Foster home licensors will be available to meet one-on-one to answer questions about foster care options and requirements. There will be no formal presentation. Anyone over the age of 21 can serve as a foster parent. Marital status, income level, culture or religion do not matter. • Third annual Animal Allies and Fitger's Frozen fundraiser, 5-8 p.m., Friday in the August Fitger Room at Fitger's Brewery Complex, 600 E. Superior St., third floor, Duluth. The social features treats, live music, raffles, food, libations, photo station and dogs and cats. Proceeds benefit Animal Allies. • Humane Society of Douglas County (HSDC) fundraiser. Raffle tickets for a 2018 Textron Off-Road Wildcat all-terrain vehicle, sponsored in part by Mac Marine and Sport, can be purchased at the following locations: HSDC, 138 Moccasin Mike Road, Superior; Dreamland Supper Club, 4368 County Road E, South Range; Superior Animal Hospital, 36 E. • Community Investment Process Volunteer Panelist: Review requests for funding from United Way partner agencies and work with other members of the panel to come to a conclusion about what percentage of the request will be granted to the applicant. The panelist is expected to have a basic knowledge of the United Way service communities and the desire to work towards positive change and improved outcomes for all people in communities. 20-25 hours during the months of January and February 2018. • ALS Association Volunteer- Family Assistance Program: Male volunteer wanted for conversation, cards and cribbage.
