JERSEY CITY -- The pursuit of a stolen car ended in a crash on West Side Avenue on Sunday afternoon, witnesses at the scene said.

A yellow Chevy Corvette crashed into multiple vehicles near Culver Avenue at around 2:30 p.m., photographer Joe Shine said from the scene.

Photos from the aftermath of the crash show at least one driver whose car was struck by the Corvette taken away in an ambulance.

The driver of the stolen vehicle took off on foot before being arrested, Shine said.

A city spokeswoman could not immediately be reached for information about the incident.
